About the Roastery
Crazy Mountain Coffee Roasters is proudly a woman owned and operated small-batch, specialty coffee company. Owner and roaster, Dru Hayes, grew up in Shields Valley in the shadow of the Crazy Mountains of Southwestern Montana. She learned the art of coffee roasting from her stepdad and his brothers who have combined 100+ years’ experience in the coffee industry. After years of apprenticeship, she decided to move back home and start her own roasting company. She recently expanded and opened a coffeeshop located in the iconic Frosty Freez building in Big Timber as she saw an opportunity to bring her passion for great coffee to Sweet Grass county and beyond. For Dru, coffee has been both a family business as well as something she loves. She looks forward to sharing great beans with you.
About the Coffeeshop
We’ve recently expanded to include a coffee and espresso bar at the roastery, located in the iconic Frosty Freez building. Open Tuesday through Saturday from 8 AM to 1:00 PM, the bar features a rotating selection of single-origin coffees, coffee blends, and espresso drinks from around the world - all roasted in-house. Whether you're here for a quick cup or looking to take home a bag of freshly roasted beans, we’re proud to bring great coffee to Sweet Grass County—and beyond.
