Sumatra Lintong

from $18.00

12oz, 2lb, and 3lb bag options

Single origin, wet hulled process, dark roasted coffee.

Tasting Notes: Complex acidity, herbaceous, peppery and warm spices

Lintong lies Southwest of Lake Toba on a plateau rich in biodiversity. Most farms in this region are small and interplanted with other sustenance crops. Coffee lots for export are made up of local producers from the whole area.

Our long-standing relationship with the mill in Lintong ensures that every step, from hand-picking to the unique triple-picking process, is meticulously executed. The coffee is wet-hulled, pulped, and then stored in bags overnight before being dried on patios for 2-3 days, resulting in its distinctive blue-green hue. The parchment is then removed, and the rest is dried, creating a coffee with a unique quality that is a must-try for any coffee enthusiast.

The Sumatra Lintong TP is renowned for its unique coffee process. After the coffee is picked and processed at the mill, a group of women, typically the ones involved in this process, meticulously pick through the defects three times. This rigorous process, known as triple pick (TP), ensures the coffee's high quality and is a testament to the producers' unwavering dedication and meticulous attention to detail.
